The Villette Park is located between the Paris ring road and the Saint-Denis canal, with the Ourcq Canal following through it. It is the largest green area in Paris, a "prototype of the urban park of the 21st century"Three other public entities are also located on the Villette site: the Industry and Sciences City, Music City, and the National Higher Conservatory of Music and Danse of Paris.
The Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in the Parc de la Villette is located within the Villette Park. It is a huge building housing a vast science museum, a media center, exposition halls all oriented towards science and technology. If you are visiting Paris with children this excellent museum can make for a very enjoyable and long day.
